An idea that goes along with the story:
– You can hide the reverence butterfly at the beginning of Primary. As the children come in and sit down, they look for it from their seat. When they have found it they fold their arms. After most of the children have their arms folded, I pick one child to go get the butterfly and put it on their finger (it’s a finger puppet) and fly it around the room to all the children. They each make a cup with their hands for the butterfly to “drink” out of. They have to remain reverent or the butterfly gets scared and “flies” away. After this short exercise the children are settled and ready to listen.
