The pictures illustrating this Book of Mormon story are all mixed up. Read 1 Nephi 3–4 [1 Ne. 3–4], number the pictures in the order that they should be, then color them. You might also like to mount them on lightweight cardboard, cut them out, punch holes along the top, put them in order, tie them with yarn or string to look like a book, and put them with your Sunday things.

I feel reverent when I keep the commandments.

Nephi obtains the plates because the Lord commanded him to do it.

Read: 1 Nephi 3; 4:1–13, 20, 26 [1 Ne. 3; 1 Ne. 4:1–13, 20, 26]

Instructions: Remove this page from the magazine, color the figures, and mount them on heavy paper; then cut out the figures and glue pieces of flannel on the backs. Read the scriptures listed, then retell the Book of Mormon story using the figures.
